Visiting York Univ. (August 2025)
英国のYork大学にある、Robot-Assisted Living Labを訪問してきました。PIのJihongはフランス留学時代からの付き合いで、お互いPIになったばかり。悩みを分かち合える同期が海外にもいるのはとても心強いです。
招待講演は想像以上に人が集まってタジタジでしたが、私たちの研究に興味を持っていただけて本当に嬉しかったです・・・
たった2日間の滞在でしたが、招待講演に研究ディスカッション、試行実験とかなり充実した時間を過ごすことができました。
次回は学生連れてくぞ！お互いの指導学生を交流させるのが楽しみです。 （Jihongが素敵なポストを書いてくれました！（Link））
I visited the Robot-Assisted Living Lab at the University of York in the UK.
Jihong, the PI there, has been a friend since I was Posdoc in France, and now that we’ve both just started as PIs, it’s reassuring to have a peer overseas to share challenges with.
The invited talk drew a much larger audience than I expected, and I was a bit overwhelmed, but I was really happy that so many people showed interest in our research.
Although it was only a two-day stay, it was a very fulfilling time with the invited lecture, research discussions, and even some trial experiments.
Next time I’ll bring my students along!! I’m really looking forward to having them interact with each other’s lab members.
