Falling Wallsとは?
ベルリンの壁崩壊を記念して2004年にスタートした Falling Walls Science Summitは、毎年11月にベルリンで開催される世界的な科学と社会の未来を語るイベントです。 その初日に行われるFalling Walls Labでは、世界各国の予選を勝ち抜いた若手研究者たちが「Breaking the Wall of ...」というタイトルで3分間の研究ピッチを行い、熱い想いと革新性を世界に届けます。Keio Round 開催概要

- 対象:博士課程学生、ポスドク、若手教員(修士課程は要相談)
- 募集人数:2名(東京または仙台で行われる日本予選に推薦予定)
- 特典:
- メンタリング支援
- 日本予選で選ばれなかった場合もベルリンでの本イベント参加旅費・登録費支援あり

【Call for Participants: Falling Walls Lab Keio Round For PhD students, postdocs, and early-career faculty members
We are excited to announce that the Falling Walls Lab Keio Round will be held in the evening of Tuesday, June 3, at YIL. This is your opportunity to present your research to the world — in just 3 minutes!The application form will be released at a later date.
What is Falling Walls?
Founded in 2004 to commemorate the fall of the Berlin Wall, the Falling Walls Science Summit is an annual global event held in Berlin that gathers leading minds across disciplines to discuss breakthroughs and future challenges. On the opening day (November 7), the Falling Walls Lab showcases a 3-minute pitch competition where emerging researchers from over 70 locations worldwide present how their research addresses global issues under the theme: “Breaking the Wall of…”About the Keio Round
- Date: Tuesday, June 3, 2025 18:00 @ YIL
- Eligibility: PhD students, postdoctoral researchers, and early-career faculty members (Master’s students may apply upon consultation)
- Selected participants: 2 finalists will be nominated to join the Japan preliminaries (Tokyo or Sendai)
- Support:
- Mentoring before the national round
- Travel and participation costs for the Berlin Summit will be covered, even if not selected in Japan preliminaries
