JSME Young Engineers Award (June 2025)
水流を用いて接触検知と熱覚刺激を同時に行う手法について修士1年の塩野入くんが学会発表を行い，日本機械学会 若手優秀講演フェロー賞を受賞しました！(学会発表時は大学4年生でおそらく最年少の受賞！)学生にとって初めての学会参加、さらに英語発表、私にとっても初めての学生との共著論文であったこともあり、学生の頑張りを評価していただけて嬉しい限りです。
Daisuke Shionoiri, a first-year master’s student, gave a conference presentation on a method that uses water flow for simultaneous contact detection and thermal stimulation—and was awarded the JSME Young Engineers Award! (At the time of the conference, he was still a fourth-year undergraduate, likely the youngest recipient!)
It was his first time attending a conference, and his first presentation in English. It was also my first co-authored paper with a student, so I’m truly delighted that his hard work was recognized.
